„Nejtěžší taneční krok je ten první. ZAČÍT.“

About us

Our entire dance school is characterized by the basic motto “The hardest dance step is the first one, to begin.” Willingness, determination and joy are what drive us forward. For most of our students, we have witnessed their first dance steps and we are pleased to see that even after ten years for many of them, we continue to guide their steps.

We have travelled halfway around the world with some of our students and have lived with some of them for more than half of their lives. These experiences have shown us that overcoming ourselves and discovering new experiences drives us. We encourage our tutors to develop their students and not just criticize them.

A speciality of our school is our focus on individual lessons. We offer these to couples who are new to dance or want to prepare for prom and individuals who may find it difficult to find a dance partner for various reasons.

We teach wheelchair dancing and care for seniors through our very popular Senior Dance Room and Senior StarDance program.

Our classes offer:

1. the opportunity to work effectively and, above all individually, with one dance instructor working exclusively with you

2. a guarantee of rapid progress in improving or mastering dance steps and skills

3. time flexibility and flexibility in choosing a dance hall that offers the necessary privacy

HISTORY AND OUR MISSION

Tanec Pro Všechny is a non-governmental, non-profit organization founded in 2012 to develop and promote social dance at all levels. Our first endeavour is to make dance accessible and open opportunities to the broadest possible range of people interested in this beautiful art.

Since our beginnings, when we focused primarily on the competitive form of ballroom dance, our scope has expanded considerably into other areas. In addition to the establishment of the sports branch of the association – TK Dance Time, where we now have over 80 members, and the Pro-Am team of TK DanceTime, we are dedicated to the therapeutic side of dance – we organize Dance Against Aging courses that support the slowing of Alzheimer’s disease, Senior StarDance and Senior Dance, where generational meetings take place. We are also dedicated to the recreational side of dance in courses for children and Dance for the Public with the Czech Dance Master. We have trained our teachers to be the first in the Czech Republic to teach sports – social dance in a wheelchair.

ACTIVITIES OF THE ASSOCIATION

The most visible activity in recent years has been the organization of the DanceTime Cup, DanceTime Gala Cup and the Prague Dance Championship international festival at Žofín. The competitions are aimed at beginner dancers and advanced couples, including the World League. Every year over 1500 couples participate in the competition.

For the members of our sports club, we organize regular camps and group lessons. We are delighted with our ever-growing membership base, as well as the members of the club who have been with us since our inception. Together with our students, we have celebrated many successes – the title of 2nd vice-champions of the Czech Republic junior 1, victory on the dance rank list junior 2, the final of the adult dance league and many others. More information about the dance club on its FB page TK DanceTime.

In 2020 we were the first in the history of the Czech Republic to organize a competition and congress of wheelchair dance, and we are intensively working on this area with our partner SKV Prague.

However, the activity could only be organized with support and cooperation. We want to thank the Prague City Hall, Prague 1, Prague 9, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture for their long-standing support.
